Volleyball Game Preview: Boyd County Spartans vs. Osmond Tigers

The Boyd County Spartans will square off against the Osmond Tigers on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Boyd County lost 3-0 to West Holt on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Huskies: they've now lost four in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-12, 25-14.

Boyd County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Claire Reiman, who had 14 digs and two aces, and Elena Luber, who had nine digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Osmond faced off against St. Mary's on Tuesday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18.
