Abbott was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in 1A 6 Man 1 Region IV District 13 (6 Man). The Panthers defeated Avalon 54-0 earlier in the week.
Avalon's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Blake McCulloch has thrown for 1035 yards and 18 touchdowns this season, while Victor Ledesma has 24 catches for 380 yards. Rigo Palacios leads the league in rushing with 845 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Abbott takes on Bynum. Terry Crawford's team is in first place, while the Bulldogs are in fourth place.
Aquilla led 1A 6 Man 1 Region IV District 13 (6 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 71 points on Bynum.
