Lakeview Charter scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 66-13 win over Bert Corona Charter at home. The victory was some much needed relief for Lakeview Charter as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Triumph Charter stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They really took it to Bert Corona Charter for the full four quarters, racking up a 93-15 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for Triumph Charter who now have five in a row.
Triumph Charter found their leader in underclassman Antonio Garcia III, who scored 25 points. Garcia III is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Joel Zaragoza, who scored 11 points.
Lakeview Charter's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Triumph Charter, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Lakeview Charter took a serious blow against Triumph Charter in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 68-32. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lakeview Charter was down 35-8.
