The Propel Andrew Street Panthers won the last time they faced Varsity Opponent, and things went their way on Thursday too. Propel Andrew Street breezed by Varsity Opponent at home to the tune of 52-16. The team accrued 41 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Propel Andrew Street's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tadj Cohen led the charge by scoring ten points along with eight steals. That's the first time this season that Cohen grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Darryl McCullough, who scored ten points along with four steals and four blocks.
Propel Andrew Street's victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-4-1. As for Varsity Opponent, their defeat dropped their record down to 239-880-9.
Propel Andrew Street will head out on the road to face off against Propel Braddock Hills at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. Varsity Opponent and Oaks will face off at 4:00 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
