Baseball Recap: Bogue Chitto Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Lincoln on Friday, Bogue Chitto came back down to earth. The Bobcats came up short against the North Pike Jaguars on Saturday, falling 15-4. The Bobcats have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Tucker Kyzar made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Bogue Chitto now has a losing record of 8-9. As for North Pike, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bogue Chitto will face off against Amite County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for North Pike, they will challenge South Jones at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Braves will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
