Softball Recap: Pine Ridge Comes Up Short

After flying high against Father Lopez on Wednesday, Pine Ridge came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Atlantic Sharks on Thursday, falling 25-12.

Jazz Sanchez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-5. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Carla Rivera was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.

Pine Ridge dropped their record down to 1-10-1 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Atlantic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3-1.

Pine Ridge has already played their next contest, a 19-4 defeat against Orangewood Christian on the 31st. As for Atlantic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 23-3 loss against DeLand on the 28th.
