After losing to Duncan the last time they met, Desert Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles pulled ahead with a 20-19 photo finish over the Wildkats on Thursday.

Desert Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Priscilla Genteman out in front who posted eight points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Welch, who scored three points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

The victory got Desert Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Duncan, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Desert Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 29-20 win against San Simon on the 21st. As for Duncan, they will welcome San Manuel at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Wildkats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
