Football Game Preview: St. Edmond Gaels vs. Harris-Lake Park Wolves

The St. Edmond Gaels will challenge the Harris-Lake Park Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

St. Edmond came up short against Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire on Friday, falling 66-44. The Gaels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Harris-Lake Park scored the most points they've had this season back in September, but it wasn't enough. They took a 49-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Newell-Fonda. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since August 28, 2020, but that streak is no more.

St. Edmond's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-3. As for Harris-Lake Park, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

St. Edmond ended up a good deal behind Harris-Lake Park in their previous matchup back in September of 2021, losing 42-28. Can the Gaels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
