Basketball Recap: Wayne Valley Takes a Loss

Wayne Valley lost to DePaul Catholic back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians opened the new year with a less-than-successful 54-41 defeat to the Spartans. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Wayne Valley lost, don't look at Tyler Veale. Despite the final result, he went 5-for-11 on his way to 13 points. Veale is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Zachary Derstine, who posted six points and six boards.

Wayne Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for DePaul Catholic, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
