Football Recap: Coral Gables Comes Up Short

Coral Gables fell victim to Palmetto and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were beaten by the Panthers 43-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Coral Gables' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Palmetto, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Coral Gables is taking a road trip to square off against Braddock at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Palmetto, they will challenge South Dade at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. The Panthers will be up against the Buccaneers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
