Soccer Game Preview: Economedes vs. Edinburg North

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Economedes duke it out with the Edinburg North at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday... Economedes' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Economedes is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They came up short against Harlingen last Friday, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 557th, while the Cardinals are ranked 101st).

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Edinburg North was a bit more limited in their game last Friday. They lost 4-0 to Los Fresnos. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Edinburg North now has a losing record at 3-4-1. As for Economedes, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4-2.

Economedes beat Edinburg North 2-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Does Economedes have another victory up their sleeve, or will Edinburg North turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
