Basketball Game Preview: Little Axe Indians vs. Davis Wolves

Little Axe hasn't had much luck against Davis recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Little Axe Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Davis Wolves at 6:30 p.m.

Little Axe is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They fell 53-44 to Dewar. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while the Dragons are ranked 166th).

Meanwhile, Davis came tearing into Saturday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the Bulldogs to the tune of 65-30. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Davis' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points over those games. As for Little Axe, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
