South Choctaw Academy and Jackson Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Rebels will square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

South Choctaw Academy was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Richton last Friday. South Choctaw Academy was the clear victor by a 36-14 margin over Richton. The result was nothing new for South Choctaw Academy, who have now won three games by 22 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jackson Academy). Everything went their way against Hooper Academy on Friday as they made off with a 46-21 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Eagles' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Jackson Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for South Choctaw Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Everything came up roses for South Choctaw Academy against Jackson Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 51-0 victory. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
