Basketball Recap: False River Gators vs. Christ Episcopal School Wildcats
The False River Gators had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 67-51 win over Christ Episcopal School on Wednesday. The win was just what False River needed coming off of a 58-32 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead False River to victory, but perhaps none more so than Karson Lacombe, who scored 21 points along with six assists and six steals. Another player making a difference was Christopher Dixon, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
False River's win bumped their record up to 10-19. As for Christ Episcopal School, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-13.
False River will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Opelousas Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 256 points over their last four contests. As for Christ Episcopal School, they will head out on the road to challenge the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ecole Classique comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
