Softball Recap: Denmark Victorious

After losing to De Pere the last time they met, Denmark decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Vikings came out on top against the Redbirds by a score of 10-6 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Vanny Umentum was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with five RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rebekah Dittmer, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.

Denmark's win bumped their record up to 22-4. As for De Pere, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12.

Denmark does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for De Pere, they will be playing at home against Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
