Soccer Recap: Aragon Comes Up Short

Aragon managed to keep up with Menlo-Atherton until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Aragon Dons came up short against the Menlo-Atherton Bears, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Bears are ranked 79th).

Aragon's loss dropped their record down to 7-3-2. As for Menlo-Atherton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-0-3.

Aragon will take on Burlingame at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Burlingame's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Menlo-Atherton, they will challenge South San Francisco at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Menlo-Atherton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.
