Football Game Preview: Payette Pirates vs. Cole Valley Christian Chargers

The Payette Pirates will challenge the Cole Valley Christian Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Payette and three for Cole Valley Christian.

On Friday, Payette took a blow against McCall-Donnelly, falling 39-7. The Pirates were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, Cole Valley Christian played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Weiser and fell 38-6.

Cole Valley Christian now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Payette, they now also have a losing record of 3-4.

Payette was able to grind out a solid victory over Cole Valley Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 26-13. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Chargers' Ethan Minegar, who picked up 60 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one score on the ground.
