Preview: Wayne Hills Patriots vs. Passaic Valley Hornets
Wayne Hills and Passaic Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Wayne Hills Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Passaic Valley Hornets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Wayne Hills is ranked 152nd, while Passaic Valley is ranked 166th).
Last Tuesday, Wayne Hills came up short against West Milford and fell 61-48.
Meanwhile, even though Passaic Arts & Science Charter scored an imposing 57 points on Thursday, Passaic Valley still came out on top. Passaic Valley snuck past Passaic Arts & Science Charter with a 63-57 victory. The win was just what Passaic Valley needed coming off of a 64-40 defeat in their prior match.
Wayne Hills has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Passaic Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Wayne Hills came up short against Passaic Valley when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 42-37. Can Wayne Hills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
