Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crivitz). They blew past the Northland Pines Eagles 16-3 on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wolverines needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Isabelle Danielczak made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Danielczak was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Izzy Wesolowski was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kiya Brand, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs.
Crivitz's record now sits at 6-7. As for Northland Pines, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Looking ahead, Crivitz will venture away from home to face off against Niagara at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northland Pines, they will host Mosinee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
