Basketball Recap: Willamette's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Willamette had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Springfield Millers by a score of 53-40 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Wolverines, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Willamette's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-9. As for Springfield, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Willamette will challenge Roseburg at 6:45 p.m. on January 10th. As for Springfield, they will face off against Cascade at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
