Everglades couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Coconut Creek on Tuesday, falling 45-6.
Meanwhile, South Broward got the win against Flanagan on Tuesday by a conclusive 53-27. The win made it back-to-back wins for South Broward.
South Broward had a senior duo take command as Jamesha Card scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks and Fabiana Poindujour dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Card has scored at least 25% of South Broward's points. Ayonna Lewis was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Everglades' loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for South Broward, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
