North Point had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Lackey Chargers on Friday. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 5-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Everett Myers looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, North Point let Logan Robertson and Quincy McFadden run wild. Robertson scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while McFadden scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Aidan Espejo, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, North Point will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on St. Mary's Ryken at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lackey, they are taking a road trip to challenge St. Charles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
