Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is City View's 12th in Last 13 Outings

City View won the last time they faced Holliday and things went their way on Tuesday too. The City View Mustangs walked away with a 57-44 win over the Holliday Eagles. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Eagles are ranked 563rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

City View is also on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Holliday, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-14.

Coincidentally, City View and Holliday will both be playing Vernon the next time they take the court. City View will host Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Holliday will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
