The Riverside Christian Wranglers will venture away from home to square off against the Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meadowbrook Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Riverside Christian, who comes in off a win.
Riverside Christian barely beat Jefferson County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Riverside Christian put the hurt on Jefferson County with a sharp 10-1 victory on Tuesday. That looming 10-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wranglers yet this season.
Haiden Duke spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. He has become a key player for Riverside Christian: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 1-4 otherwise.

At the plate, Riverside Christian got a massive performance out of Kyan Cooper, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave Cooper a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Pate, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Riverside Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Meadowbrook Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 22-3 to Cedar Key.
Meadowbrook Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JAMES MARSHALL, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. LUKE CHARSKE also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meadowbrook Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Riverside Christian, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5.
Meadowbrook Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Riverside Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Meadowbrook Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 2.8 strikeouts.
