Basketball Recap: Paetow Takes a Loss

Paetow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 68-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seven Lakes Spartans. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 80-79.

Paetow's defeat dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Seven Lakes, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-5.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Paetow Panthers duke it out with the Katy Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Katy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Paetow likes a good challenge. As for Seven Lakes, they will take on Tompkins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Seven Lakes' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 matches.
