Baseball Recap: Lutheran Takes a Loss

Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 18-2 to the Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 two weeks ago.

Lutheran saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joey Hollyer, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lutheran and Plymouth Christian Academy will both be playing Greenhills the next time they take the field. The Warriors will head out to face the Gryphons at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
