Volleyball Recap: West Field's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

West Field and Fremont squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but West Field had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Silverwolves. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Longhorns haven't been shut out since back in September.

Despite the defeat, West Field saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jorie Schiffman had 17 digs. With that strong performance, Schiffman is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.

The loss snapped West Field's winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 19-12 record. As for Fremont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-2 record this season.

West Field does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fremont, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Skyline on the 30th.
