Football Recap: Schuyler Takes a Loss

The matchup between Schuyler and Concordia on Friday hardly resembled the 23-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Warriors were beaten by the Mustangs 60-20. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Schuyler lost, don't look at Ben Rocheford. Despite the final result, he picked up 116 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Rocheford really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 73 yards.

Drew Kulus was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 99 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 36 yards. What's more, he racked up 124.7 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Parker Olson also helped with two scores in total.

Schuyler's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Concordia, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schuyler will take on Mount Michael Benedictine on Friday. As for Concordia, they will challenge Louisville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
