Softball Game Preview: Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks vs. Terra Linda Trojans

The Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks will challenge the Terra Linda Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tamalpais is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Archie Williams on Monday. They came up short against the Peregrine Falcons, falling 8-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Tailed Hawks in their meetings with the Peregrine Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Terra Linda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 18-5 to Redwood.

Terra Linda saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eleanor Johnson, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Tamalpais' defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Terra Linda, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Tamalpais took their victory against Terra Linda in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 13-4 score. Will the Red Tailed Hawks repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
