Recap: Belleview Christian Bruins vs. Front Range Baptist Falcons
The Belleview Christian Bruins were the 33-29 winner over the Front Range Baptist Falcons when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Belleview Christian fell 32-25 to Front Range Baptist on Tuesday.
Despite the loss, Belleview Christian still got an impressive performance from Samantha Ortega, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Ortega hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Harjas Thiara, who scored five points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Belleview Christian's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-10. As for Front Range Baptist, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belleview Christian will face off against Dawson School at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Front Range Baptist, they will head out on the road to square off against Lone Star at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Aleighcea Kuntz and Katie Jaques.
