Winfield entered their tilt with Wayne on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 two weeks ago.

Winfield easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-9.

Mila Herscher paced Winfield's offense, picking up nine kills. Herscher got some help from Macee Shock and her 13 assists. Shock also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kynnlee Mcclure, racking up two apiece.

Winfield's victory bumped their record up to 11-4-2. As for Wayne, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Winfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Nitro on the 16th. As for Wayne, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on John Marshall at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th.
