Softball Recap: Hampton Takes a Loss

Hampton and Norcom pushed the score to 26-13 the last time they played Norcom, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Crabbers fell just short of the Greyhounds by a score of 1-0. The Crabbers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Hampton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Norcom, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hampton will face off against Warwick at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Crabbers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Norcom, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Maury at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Commodores' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Greyhounds' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
