Basketball Recap: Columbus Christian Piles Up the Points Against Suburban Christian

Columbus Christian's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They breezed past Suburban Christian to the tune of 50-14. Columbus Christian pushed the score to 42-7 by the end of the third, a deficit Suburban Christian had no chance of recovering from.

Emma Murray continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 25 points and 21 rebounds. Those 21 boards gave her a new career-high. Olivia Wise was another key player, going 6-for-15 on her way to 10 points along with seven steals and five rebounds.

Columbus Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Columbus Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Suburban Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus Christian will venture away from home to square off against Crothersville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Suburban Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on First Baptist Christian at 5:15 p.m. on December 2.
