Soccer Recap: Oak Hall Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Oak Hall was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They fell just short of the Newberry Panthers by a score of 2-1. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Oak Hall's goal came courtesy of Thomas Gibson, who's now up to 16 this season.

Oak Hall's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Newberry, their win bumped their record up to 10-3-1.

Oak Hall will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Interlachen at 7:00 p.m. Oak Hall is facing Interlachen at the right time seeing as Interlachen is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Newberry, they will be playing at home against Dixie County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Newberry is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.7 goals per game this season.
