Soccer Recap: Portales Takes a Loss

Portales was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Lovington Wildcats. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 21, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Portales' loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Lovington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Portales is set to face off against their familiar foe Goddard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lovington will challenge rival Artesia at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
