Recap: Jonesboro Cardinals vs. Alcovy Tigers
There's no place like home for the Jonesboro Cardinals, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past Alcovy 71-50. That's another feather in the cap for Jonesboro, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jonesboro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Montez Redding, who scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cortez Redding, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 assists.
Jonesboro's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Alcovy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jonesboro will take on Forest Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Forest Park comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Alcovy, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodward Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Woodward Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 287 points over their last four contests.
