There's no place like home for El Modena, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over the Cypress Centurions on Thursday. For the Vanguards, this counts as revenge for the 31-14 win the Centurions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2023.
El Modena had a senior duo take command as Xzavior Guess threw for 199 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes and Connor Smith picked up 98 receiving yards and a touchdown. Brodie Hitchens made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
