Volleyball Recap: Bourbon Comes Up Short

Bourbon lost against Steelville back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The War Hawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. The War Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21.

Lauryn Hercules paced Bourbon's offense, picking up three kills. Hercules got some help from Kaitlyn King and her four assists. King was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Bourbon's loss dropped their record down to 7-13-2. As for Steelville, their win bumped their record up to 12-6-4.

Bourbon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Viburnum on the 13th. As for Steelville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Cuba on the 13th.
