Softball Game Preview: Valley Mills Eagles vs. Honey Grove Warriors

The Valley Mills Eagles will take on the Honey Grove Warriors on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Valley Mills is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over Dawson. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Valley Mills got a massive performance out of Bianka Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Natalia Molina was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Valley Mills hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Honey Grove never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on Petrolia with a sharp 8-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Honey Grove's victory bumped their record up to 25-5-3. As for Valley Mills, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
