Cameron Brown put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Friday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Goddard is 2-1 when Brown allows two or fewer earned runs, but 8-10 otherwise.

Brown's strong effort led Goddard over Portales and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
