Monticello has gone 5-0 against Dolores recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Monticello Buckaroo will take on the Dolores Bears at 4:30 p.m.

Monticello came up into this matchup off a tough 24-point loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Escalante by a score of 55-52 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Buckaroo have suffered since January 23, 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dolores). Everything went their way against Telluride on Friday as Dolores made off with a 69-46 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Bears as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Dolores' victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Monticello, they dropped their record down to 10-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Monticello was able to grind out a solid win over Dolores in their previous matchup back in January, winning 62-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monticello since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
