Scottsdale Christian Academy extended their winning streak to 14 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Sean Helgeson. The Eagles simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Cortez Colts 56-8 with plenty of help from Helgeson, who threw for 230 yards and four touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 40 yards. He has been hot recently, having posted four or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Logan Flaherty, who rushed for 67 yards and one TD. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards.

Despite the loss, Cortez still got an impressive performance from Jamerrius Anthony, who rushed for 82 yards and one score.

Scottsdale Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Cortez, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Scottsdale Christian Academy has already played their next matchup, a 40-34 win against Phoenix Christian on the 11th. As for Cortez, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 26-3 victory against Fountain Hills on the 10th.
