Football Recap: Rivercrest Drops Highest Score of Season Against S & S Consolidated

Rivercrest scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the S & S Consolidated Rams. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Hunter Courville was a one-man wrecking crew For S & S Consolidated. as he rushed for 129 yards and three scores, and also threw for 304 yards and a pair of TDs. What's more, Courville posted two passing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Joe Orr did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 120 receiving yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Rivercrest and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for S & S Consolidated, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rivercrest will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Alba-Golden at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for S & S Consolidated, they will square off against Howe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
