Recap: Bartow Yellow Jackets vs. Ridge Community Bolts
The Bartow Yellow Jackets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 79-51 win over Ridge Community on the road. That 79-51 margin sets a new team best for Bartow this season.
Bartow can attribute much of their success to Jayson Williams, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Messiah Borders was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine assists and three steals.
Ridge Community lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Siled Morris, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kobe Key, who scored nine points.
Bartow's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Ridge Community, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bartow will take on George Jenkins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. George Jenkins will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 561st, while Bartow is ranked 193rd). As for Ridge Community, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Tenoroc at 8:00 p.m. on December 7th. Tenoroc comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
