Recap: DSST: College View Wolves vs. Denver West Cowboys
The DSST: College View Wolves pushed their score all the way to 59 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Denver West 64-59. DSST: College View found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and rack up 15 fewer assists than your opponent.
Despite the defeat, DSST: College View saw an underclassman step up: Joshua Sosa scored 23 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Sosa's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaias Tomita, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Denver West got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jeremiah Parker out in front who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jacob Dallas was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
DSST: College View's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Denver West, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Rocky Mountain Prep SMART the next time they take the court. DSST: College View will head out to face Rocky Mountain Prep SMART at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Denver West will host them at 1:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
