Football Recap: Mathias Dahlstrom Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Sargent County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oakes). They put the hurt on the Sargent County Bulldogs with a sharp 28-6 win on Friday. The Tornadoes haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Oakes' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mathias Dahlstrom, who rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. Those 74 rushing yards gave Dahlstrom a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Rosendahl, who rushed for 86 yards and one TD.

Oakes now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sargent County, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
