Soccer Recap: Powdersville Picks Up Tenth Straight Win on the Road

Powdersville came tearing into Monday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.7 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Carolina Academy Trojans a 7-0 shutout. Give Powdersville's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Carolina Academy from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Jud Scrivner led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Powdersville pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for Carolina Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
