Softball Game Preview: Proctor Academy Hornets vs. Holderness Bulls

The Proctor Academy Hornets will square off against the Holderness Bulls at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Proctor Academy is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They came up short against Kimball Union Academy, falling 16-2.

Proctor Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addy Boucher, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Caroline Dove also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Holderness had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 11-0 to Tilton School on Friday.

Proctor Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Holderness, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went Proctor Academy's way against Holderness in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, as Proctor Academy made off with an 11-2 victory. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Bulls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
