The Cambridge Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Loomis Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Loomis will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Cambridge extended their winning streak to four last Thursday. The Trojans blew past Bertrand 56-6. Fans of the Trojans have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Cambridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Micah Gerlach led the charge by rushing for 64 yards and a pair of scores, while also throwing for 163 yards and two TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes. Gerlach is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Brady Ahlemeyer was in the mix too, providing Cambridge with three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, while Loomis put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Maywood/Hayes Center. Loomis blew past Maywood/Hayes Center, posting a 52-0 victory. Loomis hasn't had any issues with Maywood/Hayes Center recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Cambridge better keep an eye on Jace Schukar. He was instrumental in Loomis' win, rushing for 129 yards and four scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, Schukar is now up to 9 rushing touchdowns on the season. Clete Booe was another key player, rushing for 82 yards and one TD on only eight carries.
Loomis' run defense was locked in: Maywood/Hayes Center could only muster 2.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Phillip Titkemeier for the heroic effort on defense: he. Loomis didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged six.
Cambridge's record now sits at 4-0. As for Loomis, their record is now 3-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Cambridge has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 273.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Loomis struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 193.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Cambridge suffered a grim 36-16 defeat to Loomis in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Trojans were down 22-0.
