Softball Game Preview: Taylor County Cardinals vs. Casey County Rebels

The Taylor County Cardinals will challenge the Casey County Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Taylor County is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering East Jessamine just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cardinals have suffered since May 3, 2024.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Casey County's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cumberland County on Saturday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Rebels were not able to get on the board.

Taylor County's defeat dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Casey County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.
